Immunizations

Clackamas County Community Health Division works closely with the Oregon Health Division and many other agencies to encourage kids and adults to get the vaccines they need to stay healthy.
Our staff will make a plan for your child's immunization needs and make sure you receive reminders when your child is due for another immunization.

The Clackamas County Community Health Division encourages parents to:

  • Keep an updated record of your child's immunizations.
  • Remember to update your child's school or child care facility anytime your child receives a new shot.
  • Keep your child current on their immunizations. Kids need 80% of their shots by the age of 2.

 More Immunization Information

Zostavax vaccine is used to prevent shingles (herpes zoster) in individuals age 60 years and older.

Following the recommendations of our Health Officer, Dr. Paul Lewis, and the consensus our regional partners, Multnomah and Washington County, Zostavax will not be stocked in the Clackamas County Community Health Primary Care Clinics. There is no public funding available to purchase this vaccine.

Providers wanting to prescribe this vaccine for their patients can write them a prescription and send them to a local pharmacy.  Their insurance will then be billed.  For patients without insurance, they will have to pay the full cost of the vaccine.  The vaccine costs approximately $220.00 and is given only once.

Please see below local area pharmacies dispensing and administering Zostavax:
