Community Solutions for Clackamas County offers a number of Customized Employment and Training Services.

CSCC operates customized employment projects for residents of Mental Health, Corrections, Public Assistance and State Title V Older Worker clients. These projects are targeted at increasing the employability and wage potential of special populations. CSCC has a long-standing reputation in delivering quality employment and training programs.
Title V of the Older Americans Act
CSCC is the designated Clackamas County service provider for Title V of the Older Americans Act. These are federal Department of Labor funds allocated to each state to provide customized employment and training activities to Mature Workers over the age of 55.

Self Sufficiency Programs
As the long-time prime contractor for jobs self sufficiency programs in the County, CSCC works with low-income families to help them turn their lives around by building skills, changing attitudes, finding jobs and becoming economically self-sufficient. CSCC also provides employability skills training for food stamp recipients in Clackamas County. Customized job search assistance, referrals to other community services and the ability to issue support services to clients all help in the effort to move people from food stamps to self-sufficiency.

Clackamas County Community Corrections
Through a contract with Clackamas County Community Corrections, CSCC provides employment and training services to clients who are on parole or probation. CSCC staff teaches a daily workshop on how to access community resources with the end goal of obtaining a job. The workshop includes individual career counseling, resume preparation, customized job development and "soft skill" training. All services are provided at the community corrections office.

Working for Independence
Working for Independence is a joint partnership with Clackamas County Community Health, Oregon State Department of Vocational Rehabilitation and the Oregon State Department of Human Services. The overall goal is to provide people managing mental illness with work opportunities. The program currently operates five employment contracts with public and private sector organizations and businesses. These contracts are in landscaping, janitorial and food services. Plans are underway to increase the number and scope of contracts to provide more evaluation, training and employment opportunities.
Working for Independence staff are also working in the Wilsonville housing development known as Villebois to provide job skills training and employment opportunities for the community housing residents of Villebois.
