Redistricting for 2012

Precinct boundaries change each 10 years based on the changes to Congressional, State Senate and State Legislative districts which are put into motion by the census.  The Elections Division is required to complete these boundary changes by January 31, 2012 under the guidelines provided by the Secretary of State.

By January 31st, the Elections Division will calculate the number of Precinct Committee Persons appropriate for each precinct and relay this information to both major political parties. After that the Division will:

1. mail a Voter Notification Card to all active voters in Clackamas County, even if their precinct number has not changed, noting which precinct and legislative districts their address is within
2. recap, and have available on our website, the changes made to each precinct during this process, and
3. work with our GIS department to make maps of each precinct available for purchase.
